From West Coast listening rooms to UK pubs, singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and visual artist Chris Avetta enchants audiences with her Joni Mitchell-esque music and sense of humor. A caretaker by heart and by trade (she also nannies), Avetta infuses her ability to empathize with others and blends the humor of everyday life into each performance. Whether playing solo or with her full band, Avetta’s silky and sassy brand of “forest-pop indie folk with country sprinkles” includes quirky stage banter that is just as entertaining as the tunes themselves. Her latest LP Shadows (produced by Grammy-award winning Wesley Switzer at L.A.’s Milestone Studios) is a beautiful and multifaceted exploration on matters of the heart. Or, in her words, on “being ghosted and treated like a piece of meat.” San Diego Troubadour described Avetta’s vocals as “the star of the show,” and entertainment blog We Love That said her music is “perfect for a stroll through the woods.”
