Calamity has been writing, recording and performing folk rock with at country pop since 2013. Currently the band consists of founding members Nisha Catron (vocals/guitar), Cathryn Beeks (vocals/ukulele) and Marcia Claire (vocals/bass) along with Patric Petrie (violin) and Jules Stewart (drums). The band has multiple San Diego Music Award nominations over the years and each member brings something special to the mix. Nisha's theatrical background and comedic timing adds a texture of fun and fantasy to the show, keeping folks laughing and entertained throughout.
Cathryn will be inducted into the San Diego Music Hall of Fame in November, recognizing her years of dedication to the SD music community. Marcia is an accomplished bass player who plays with some of San Diego's most established acts. Patric Petrie, aka The Pixie, has fiddled with some of the finest, including her long time project Skelpin and such notable acts as Flogging Molly. Jules is the band's heartbeat and she keeps them grounded while keeping the audience rocking. The band boasts rich harmonies and tasty hooks that have delighted audiences with memorable originals and beloved and unique covers for over a decade.
